Women’s Group

The Women’s Group meets in two groups: a daytime group for all ages, Thursdays at 11:00 am in the Youth Room. A second group meets on Thursday evenings at 5:30 pm for working moms or women still raising children.

Interpreter’s Table

The Interpreter’s Table is a weekly bible study that meets in the Parish House Vestry every Thursday at 11:00 am. Led by Bishop Charles and Father Bill, this study moves at a very deliberate pace, moving slowly through just a few verses in a given meeting. Participants explore history and context while also exploring meaning for a contemporary audience. All are welcome. Study bibles are encouraged.

Seasonal Studies

Christ Church often has seasonal studies that are offered throughout the year. There are always offerings in Advent and Lent, and teachers like Dr. Bob Brown offer Sunday morning classes periodically, too.

Check the Events Page to learn about any upcoming study groups, which are always open to everyone.

Adult Lectures and Series

Christ Church offers periodic lectures and lecture series. In recent years these have included:

  •  A three-part series on the Ukraine War, during which we learned from highly regarded experts on the military issues at play from Russia’s aggression, the history of the region and regional conflicts, and the humanitarian impact as world food supplies were affected.
  • A three-part series on the Israeli-Gazan war, learning from esteemed academics about the ancient and contemporary history of the region, and speaking with an Israeli and Palestinian duo who described their work towards peacemaking despite the conflict.
  • A seven-part series on ways to bridge the great political divide of our day. We heard from experts on media, politics, conflict resolution, and work toward reconciliation.
  • We have hosted lectures from a number of well known academics and authors including Brian McLaren, who has done two annual lectures for us.
